Here are our accolades, reviews and awards for 2012.
4 1/2 Stars Winestate Magazine, March 2012
Estate-grown in the lower Waihopai Valley, this barrel-fermented wine is a medium style (31 grams/litre of residual sugar.) Delicious now, it is full-bodied, with concentrated, ripe stonefruit, lychee and spice flavours, showing excellent delicacy and harmony, a subtle seasoning of oak, and a rich, soft finish.
Envoy Pinot Gris 2010
5 Stars Winestate Magazine, March 2012
A sauvignon blanc to ponder over. Estate-grown and hand-harvested in the Waihopai Valley, it was fermented and lees-aged for a year in French oak casks. Mouthfilling, slightly creamy and complex, it is tight and elegant, with ripely herbaceous flavours, finely poised, minerally and long. Best mid-2012+.
Envoy Sauvignon Blanc 2010
Spy Valley Chardonnay 2010 - 4 Stars Winestate Recent Releases, March 2012
A top vintage. Slightly biscuity, creamy bouquet. Mouthfilling body and strong, citrusy, mealy, buttery flavours, with firm acid spine and a tight finish. Good now, or cellar.
